H&H Bakes&Cakes is a private baker for individuals and businesses alike. I started baking as a child in the ‘70s beside my mother and 5 siblings. Professionally, I started baking in 2008 as the in-house baker for a local church-based coffee shop. The feedback and waistlines grew exponentially. I even gained 26 marriage proposals from people seeing and smelling my Black Russian Chocolate Bundt Cake. It has been a fun and enjoyable career start-up. After the coffee shop sadly closed in 2012, I decided to continue and expand baking for all of our previous customers and to my individual and my private business clients. I love baking. Embarrassingly, I have to say it brings out my inner grandmother. “Oh dear, you look famished. You need to try some of my Apricot Bars.” ~David Hammer
People often use quotes on television. It seems to make them appear contemplative, smart and pensive. I like to quote Mark Twain. He does make you think twice about how you appear to others. I also love him because he is a natural born smart*ss. Regardless, he makes me laugh. ~sdh
"Foreigners cannot enjoy our food, I suppose, any more than we can enjoy theirs. It is not strange; for tastes are made, not born. I might glorify my bill of fare until I was tired; but after all, the Scotsman would shake his head, and say, "Where's your haggis?" and the Fijian would sigh and say, "Where's your missionary?"
